Compilation albums are the new normal for producers. They allow a beatmaker to showcase his or her sound to a wider audience through organic collaborations. Earlier this month Murda Beatz released his mixtape 'Keep God First' which united rappers from different ends of Toronto and Atlanta.
More recently Chris Rose has released his own compilation album and it features a whole roster of up and coming Ontario artists. Kyle Wildfern, Josh Dillon, Van Hill, Tony Flanger and more drop by to lend a verse on the 8 track mixtape. Speaking with BanTOR about the tape Chris Rose said "Honestly it stemmed from me just making relationships while making music. Everyone on the tape is super down to earth and they were easy to make music with. Also a lot of people complained that I did not release enough music."
