Directed by Steph Verschuren, the piece is a lens into Rayman's world in transit; long bus rides, trailers on campsites, scenic views and rooftop hangs in Europe, green room smoke breaks, and pensive, backstage meditation. The square-frame, hazy filter and camcorder-like aesthetic draws you into a day-in-the-life, adding insight to Rayman's world an work beyond what has been learned through "word of mouth" with subtle candor.
The track perfectly captures Allan’s versatile grunge-leaning sound, which is showcased on his latest EP, Courtney - the follow up piece to his R&B-infused LP, Roadhouse 01, bringing his notable genre-bending style to the fore. Billboard has praised the artist for his ability to "fuse R&B swagger with hip-hop grit all while spinning compelling stories much like a country artist”.
Allan has racked up an impressive 70 Million+ streams on digital platforms, and completed a 35 date tour this past fall with sold out dates throughout US, Canada and Europe selling out venues like Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, back-to-back nights at The Danforth Music Hall and Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto, Corona Theatre in Montreal, Ford Theatres in LA and Warsaw in New York City, amongst others.
