199Z Fest Showcases the Next Generation of Artists

The GTA's talent was on full display last night at Adelaide Hall. 199Z Fest brought 12 unique artists together for a night full of vibes. Have to big up the organizers, who put together one of the smoothest and well-run shows we've seen in a minute. Marlon Palmer brought the jokes and kept the crowd entertained in between sets. Every performer brought their A game and kept the atmosphere lit. Gotta give some extra shine to friend of the show, Mickey Blue, though. He absolutely killed his performance with his soulful vocals and commanding stage presence.

Shows like 199Z are so important as they highlight the city's rising artists and introduce them to new audiences. Without grassroots local support, it's nearly impossible for an artist to grow his or her fan base and gain experience in front of an audience. Really loved the turnout at the Fest and we applaud 199Z for doing their part to keep the Toronto music scene alive. Check out our photos of the night below.
